When I had a garden I constantly complained about the watering, the weeding and the mowing. Now that I’m without a patch of green to call my own I’m constantly lusting after leafy spaces. Kirsten Dunst’s romp in the California Botanical Gardens for the recent Band of Outsider look book certainly has me wishing my grass was greener. Thankfully some beautiful blooms from my lovely partner helped bring a little bit of the outdoors indoors this Valentines Day.

I’m always a little envious of those lucky enough to be entrusted with the old family photo album. Thankfully, the extensive collection of early 1900s prints and postcards available at The Junk Company has allowed me to amass a small collection of other family’s histories. Though I can’t help but feel a tad voyeuristic, the earnestness with which these subjects assume the most contrived poses gives these photos universal appeal. My rental apartment is not picture frame friendly. I’m hesitant to nail hooks to the walls, so frames are stacked atop the dresser, lean on the windowsills and rest on bookshelf. While more frames are the last thing I need, I continue to be amazed by the innovate and affordable artwork now available online. Below are the three prints currently topping my wishlist.
